Maybe, you are suffering, in the darkness? This darkness may be an ailment. This ailment could be, the darkness of pain to the depression of the mind. Darkness comes in myriad forms. We can all experience the great and bottomless pit of darkness in our bodies, mind, and spirit. There also are the darknesses of poverty, sin and godlessness which trap us. Sometimes, even the faithful cry out, “Is there any light to guide me out of this dungeon?” With cries of great anguish against the darkness, it sometimes seems no light of relief can be found. However, when God’s time has come to move, He will send the Light and the darkness cannot overcome it. This will be the beginning of the journey of Light in your life for healing from the darkness. “But when the set time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.” (Galatians 4:4 NIV)
Know this one truth, God is the one who commands light to shine out of darkness. This Light is His Son, whom He sent into the world as Savior. No matter who you are, God is willing to let His Light shine in your darkness. The only catch, are you willing to let Him shine in your darkness to help you? Are you willing to let go of a preconceived idea on how God should do this? From personal experience, when my preconceived idea of deliverance in the light was given up, and God was allowed to shine His way, His Light overcame my darkness in a totally unexpected way. Please cry out for His Light, His way today. Then let Him Shine in the time of His choosing, as He sees fit. You and I can trust this promise, The darkness cannot conquer His Light! May the light of God give you great healing and deliverance in unexpected joyful ways.
