Do You or Don’t You?

If you take a trip around the world, you will see the beauties of creation. You also will experience the problem of people. In this trip, you will learn, difficulties exist everywhere. The most pressing issue facing every individual is the problem of Jesus! This statement, of concern, comes out of Jesus’ own mouth. The point He makes excludes no one, not even church going people. The summary of His concern can be expressed in a simple question.

Do you know Me (Jesus) or just know about Me?

The answer to this question will have eternal consequences! When God closes down and brings this world to an end, every person, who ever existed, will stand before Christ to account for their relationship to Him. Perhaps, you may think you have problems now. Maybe, you may think there is no judgment day. You also may believe Christ is nothing. However, the problem of Jesus will NOT escape you.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” Matthew 7:21-23 NIV

In the words of Jack Swigert, Apollo 13 moon mission,

“Uh, Houston, we’ve had a problem.” (NASA.gov)

Uh, Earth we’ve had a problem! The problem is Jesus!

Therefore, let us return to the question,

Do you know Me (Jesus) or just know about Me?

Do you know Jesus or do you just know about Him?

This question will never leave you. It is the last examine you will have to take. I hope you and I pass it.

If you don’t know Jesus, here are two resources you can use, to find answers to the problem of Jesus.

Jesus broached this subject to the people of His day. They couldn’t grasp who He was, nor the will of God. Jesus answered His critics and clarifies the will of God for all time. He said,

“The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent.” John 6:39 NIV

To not obey this is sin.
