Beginnings Start with A Step

All Things Start with a Beginning

The human mind is a complex organ. All brains, male and female have a beginning. Conception happens, and the brain begins to form. Possibly, because our brains have a beginning, our minds are boxed in a thought, “Everything has a beginning!” The Bible has three books, which start with inspiring words concerning beginnings.

  1.  Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
  2.  John 1:1-3, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
  3. 1 John 1:1-2, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested.”  NKJV

Our minds like the fact, the universe has a beginning, at some point of time. This gives us a safe mental compound to build our existence on. The rule is true, there is a beginning for all and a start for every activity. Even King Solomon declares this truth.

“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven.”
               Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV

However, Moses, in Genesis 1:1 and John, in John 1:1-3, give us an exception to our safe theory of, “Beginnings.” They both imply, there was something existing before all we see started. This something, is a person. This person is GOD, the God who created the beginning. The God, who is an eternal being, a being, who has no beginning, without mother and father, no genealogy, and no end of existence.

To accept this truth, of an Eternal God, is to be able to walk out of the safe compound of our mind. Many cannot accept a being who had no beginning, nor will have no end. Moses teaches about the eternal attribute of God in Psalm 90:2.

“Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”
NKJV

Meditate on this truth, before there was anything there only was God. I wonder how long your mind, which has a beginning, can hold onto the fact of the God, who has no beginning. I tried this and am afraid to meditate on it again. The finite mind cannot handle it.

You may be thinking, “What is the point of this?” The point is concerning beginnings. The Eternal, who is, had a point of beginning to create things that were not. Before this act of starting creation, it only was God in existence. However, after this point of beginning, God still exists, nevertheless, so does the heaven and earth and everything on the earth! In other words, except for God, everything has a beginning or a starting point.

Questions flood the mind concerning, how long did God formulate the creating of all things? Furthermore, how long did God wait before He created the heavens and the earth? We may never know the answer on this side of heaven. However, after God contemplated and drew up His architectural plans for creating everything, which exists, He came to a point in His eternal being to begin the work of creating.

In this world, we are blessed by many people who invent and bring things into existence. Thomas Edison is one such person. Edison was a living being. He had a mind, which could dream. He could bring his dreams into existence. Thomas Edison dreamed about a light bulb replacing candles and kerosene lamps. He formulated how to do it and went about accomplishing his plans. Edison understood electricity and, in a sense, he harnessed it, to bring us light. The light bulb has a beginning. From the beginning of the first light bulb, the world has light wherever there is electricity.

No one can argue this fact; without an intelligent mind, the light bulb would not be in existence today. Since Edison existed, the light bulb has a beginning. Perhaps, without being blasphemous, we could say, “In the beginning of electric lighting, Thomas Edison created the light bulb.” The light bulb took intelligent design to create. The creating of the bulb had a specific starting point, a beginning. Look at your light bulb. It just didn’t come into being through a kaleidoscopic, centrifugal mixing of material, unless, we have been lied to about Thomas Edison. Possibly, the light bulb came into being through a light bulb big bang. Yes, this is it, Edison lied. He tripped with all the material in his hands. This all fell onto his Bunsen burner, and the flame ignited the filaments, glass, and metals into an explosion. From this explosion, a perfectly formed light bulb floated down, onto his workbench. The flawlessly placed filament in a vacuum-sealed glass, sealed off with a connector to an electrical source came into being. Let us think how fortuitous Edison was. He was there to witness the evolution of the light bulb universe and profit from it. How incredible the story of the light bulb is? From the first incandescent light, we have seen the evolutionary advancement of this species. The incandescent light bulb evolved into the neon light bulb, then into the halogen light bulb and finally into the LED light bulb. It is quite interesting how this happened. Archeological searches for the missing links of light bulb changes in our garbage dumps have not been found. There is no fossil evidence from transition of incandescent to neon, nor neon into halogen and halogen into LED light bulbs. Nevertheless, the light bulb big bang theory must be true. Furthermore, Thomas Edison didn’t exist. He is a creation of man’s mind, to explain away the light bulb big bang.

Therefore, a highly intelligent being is not needed to create a light bulb, nor the universe. Yes, things just come into existence at their evolutionary moment. How dumb it is to believe in the God of creation. How idiotic it is to think; beginnings happen from intelligent consent and action. Who can believe this statement?

You alone are the Lord;
You have made heaven,
The heaven of heavens, with all their host,
The earth and everything on it,
The seas and all that is in them,
And You preserve them all.
The host of heaven worships You.
Nehemiah 9:6 NKJV

I wonder, if you are thinking, “This guy is absurd.” Really? How ridiculous is anyone who believes the THEORY OF EVOLUTION? The lesson of life is simple. The cause and effect of life happened at a starting point from intelligent decisions God’s created beings, including the ants up to humans, have events to happen at certain starting points. There is a beginning for every activity on earth.

The intelligent Eve began the rebellion of sin. She ate the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam. God, forethought for such an event. He planned for the salvation of His people created in His own image.

“Just as He (God) chose us in Him (Christ) before the foundation of the world.” Ephesians 1:4 NKJV

“He (Christ) indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world.” 1 Peter 1:20 NKJV

This premeditated act of the sacrifice of Christ, had an intelligent beginning in time.

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5

Step by step, throughout history, God moved to bring about a new beginning through salvation for the world. From the promise of the seed of the woman, to the promise of the seed of Abraham through Isaac, Israel, David, and finally Mary, Christ was born and crucified for us.

Well, without being redundant, the point of this is intelligence is required for every action taken. This action produces a starting point, a beginning! God is the ultimate example of this for us. He thinks and then; He acts. We, made in His image, think, and afterward we act, also. I do not know where you are in life today. You may be scraping the bottom of the barrel of life or tasting the cream of delight, because, at a certain time of life, you or someone else made a beginning decision to get things rolling.

No matter, who you are or where you are at, from addictions to sinful bondages, the promise of a new beginning is given to you by God, Himself. You must intelligently desire a fresh beginning in your life. Yes, you must come to your senses concerning your life. Jesus, told us, in a parable about a son of a rich man who blew his inheritance, you must come to your senses to have a new beginning.

“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father,I have sinned against heaven and before you,and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.’ And he arose and came to his father.” Luke 15:17-20 NKJV

Do you want to find a brand-new beginning? Then, you must come to your senses and realize your need of God’s help! Embrace Christ as your Savior and begin the journey to health. Listen to what will happen to you at the time of acceptance.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

You can be made whole and productive. Let it be written about you, “In Christ, __________ (your name) God made me into a new creation. This is my second beginning!”

I hope you see the importance of believing,

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3 and 1 John 1:1-2, brings us to hope for new beginnings. The light bulb big bang does not give hope to anyone. God is the God of beginnings. He has a new one for you. It is our choice to enter in or stay away from His beginnings for us.
